- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pound chicken breasts between plastic wrap until even. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Set up three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan.
- Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, then coat with breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Pour marinara sauce over chicken and sprinkle mozzarella on top. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly and chicken is cooked through.
