Ingredients
- 2 ½ pounds ground beef
- 6 slices American cheese
- 6 La Brea Bakery Take & Bake Torta Rolls
- 2 large heirloom tomatoes, sliced
- 1 large red onion, sliced
- Lettuce leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Extra virgin olive oil for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grates.
- Shape ground beef into 6 oval patties, seasoning each with salt and pepper.
- Grill patties for about 4-6 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of grilling to melt.
- Toast the inside of torta rolls on the grill for about 2 minutes.
- Assemble burgers by placing lettuce and tomato on the bottom half of each roll, followed by the grilled patty and onion slices. Top with the other half of the roll and serve immediately.
