Ingredients
- Pre-made dough (or homemade cinnamon roll dough)
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup diced apples
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
Instructions
- Roll out pre-made dough into a 1/4 inch thick layer.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Mix in diced apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Place filling on the dough, fold or roll to seal.
- Make crumble topping by combining flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
- Sprinkle crumble over each bun.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Prepare glaze by whisking powdered sugar and milk; drizzle over buns.
