Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, minced ginger, black pepper, gochujang (if using), and chopped green onions. Mix well until the sugar dissolves.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to 2 hours.
- Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
- Remove excess marinade from the beef slices and place them in the pan in a single layer. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked through and slightly caramelized.
- Serve hot with lettuce leaves for wrapping and steamed rice on the side.
