- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (for glaze)
- 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk and sugar.
- Cut cold butter into the flour mixture until it resembles peas.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures to form a dough; fold in floured blueberries gently.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface, roll out to about 1-inch thick, and cut into circles.
- Place biscuits in a cast iron skillet so they touch; bake for 6 minutes.
- Brush tops with melted butter; return to oven for another 4–6 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly while preparing the glaze (mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk), then drizzle over biscuits.
