Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups fresh blueberries (divided)
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ¼ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs (room temperature)
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt butter with 1¼ cups of blueberries over low heat. Stir in mini chocolate chips until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract. Gradually mix in a spoonful of the melted blueberry mixture.
- Combine the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the blueberry mixture and mix well.
- Add cocoa powder, flour, and salt; stir gently until just combined.
- Top the batter with reserved blueberries.
- Bake for 25-35 minutes; a toothpick should come out with minimal crumbs for a fudgy center.
