- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ cup brown sugar
- Optional: ½ cup sugar cookie dough for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until golden brown and nutty in aroma. Let cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the browned butter with granulated sugar. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth, then stir in mashed bananas.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture while stirring gently until just combined. Fold in brown sugar.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan; add optional sugar cookie dough dollops on top if desired.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
