Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 package (3 ounces) cherry Jell-O
- 1 cup cold water
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
- 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes (for garnish)
- 1 cup vodka (optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, dissolve cherry Jell-O in boiling water; stir until fully dissolved. Add cold water and peppermint extract, mixing well.
- Pour the mixture into shot glasses or plastic cups, filling halfway. Refrigerate for about 2 hours until firm.
- Once set, layer whipped cream on top of each shot glass.
- For an alcoholic version, mix any remaining Jell-O with vodka and pour over the whipped cream layer.
- Chill again for about an hour to allow the top layer to set.
- Garnish with crushed candy canes before serving.
