- 1.5 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
- 2 cans condensed soups (cheddar and cream of mushroom)
- 1 box Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix
- 2 cups milk
- ¼ cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a non-stick skillet, brown the ground beef and diced onion over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in the cheddar soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar until combined and melted.
- Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and add the remaining cheese on top.
- Prepare the biscuit topping by mixing the Cheddar Bay Biscuit mix with shredded cheese and milk; pour evenly over the beef layer.
- Bake uncovered for 50-55 minutes until golden brown on top. Brush melted butter mixed with seasoning over biscuits before serving.
