Ingredients
- 8 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- 8 strips of cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or a blend)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon paprika (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread softened butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- In a mixing bowl, combine crumbled bacon, shredded cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
- Place half of the bread slices butter-side down on the baking sheet. Top each slice with the bacon-cheese mixture and cover with remaining bread slices butter-side up.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- Allow to cool for a minute before slicing into halves or quarters and serve warm.
