Ingredients
- 1 pound boneless chicken breasts
- 3 tablespoons plain yogurt
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- Marinate chicken pieces in yogurt and spices for at least 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a skillet and cook marinated chicken until browned; set aside.
- Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger in the same skillet until fragrant.
- Add tomato sauce, simmer for 5 minutes, then stir in heavy cream.
- Return chicken to the skillet; simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
- Serve hot garnished with cilantro.
