- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 teaspoons minced ginger
- ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 8–10 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Add chicken pieces and toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
- Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
- Thread marinated chicken onto soaked wooden skewers with space between pieces.
- Grill skewers for about 4-5 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Serve hot with garnish of sesame seeds and green onions.
