  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons minced ginger
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 810 wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
  2. Add chicken pieces and toss until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 2 hours for deeper flavor).
  3. Preheat the grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto soaked wooden skewers with space between pieces.
  5. Grill skewers for about 4-5 minutes per side until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Serve hot with garnish of sesame seeds and green onions.
