- 1 cup boiling water
- Zest of 1 large orange
- Juice of 1 large orange
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- Chocolate Ganache (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture while mixing on medium speed; then stir in boiling water until smooth.
- Fold in the orange zest, juice, and chocolate chips gently.
- Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool before frosting with chocolate ganache and garnishing with orange slices.
