- 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup

- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat softened butter with brown sugar and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in egg, maple syrup, and vanilla until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture; stir until just combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips and optional nuts.
- Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop rounded balls of dough onto prepared sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
