  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 sleeve (about 30) saltine crackers
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar, stirring until it reaches a boil. Boil without stirring for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  3. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet and pour the hot caramel over them evenly.
  4. Bake for 5-7 minutes until bubbly. While baking, mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the hot caramel layer. Let cool for 10 minutes.
