- 2 pounds beef sirloin
- 1 large yellow onion
- 1 medium jalapeño pepper
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 package brioche slider rolls
- Cowboy butter (made from unsalted butter, garlic, herbs, and spices)
Instructions
- Season beef sirloin with kosher salt and black pepper; let it rest for 30 minutes.
- In a non-stick skillet, melt butter and sauté sliced onions over medium-low heat until caramelized (25-30 minutes).
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a baking dish with cooking spray.
- Cook the seasoned steak in the same skillet for 4-5 minutes per side; let cool before slicing.
- Assemble sliders by layering sliced steak, jalapeños, cheese, and caramelized onions in split brioche rolls.
- Brush tops with melted cowboy butter; cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 3-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
