- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then cook chicken until golden brown on both sides and fully cooked through (about 12-14 minutes total). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant (1-2 minutes).
- Add heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, oregano, thyme, and optional red pepper flakes; simmer until sauce thickens slightly.
- Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce; simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve garnished with fresh parsley.
