Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Olive oil, salt, pepper, dried thyme, and oregano
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat; sear chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from skillet.
- Sauté sliced mushrooms in butter until golden; add garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Deglaze the skillet with chicken broth and white wine (if using). Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream, thyme, and oregano; let thicken for 3-4 minutes.
- Return chicken to the skillet; coat with sauce and heat through. Garnish with parsley.
