Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté shrimp seasoned with salt and pepper until pink and opaque (2-3 minutes per side). Remove from skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté chopped onion until translucent (about 5 minutes), then add minced garlic for another 30 seconds.
- Stir in sweet and smoked paprika; cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and lemon juice; simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return shrimp to the skillet, toss to coat in the sauce, and heat through for an additional minute. Garnish with parsley before serving.
