Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Additional salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and parsley until combined. Form into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs until browned on all sides (about 8-10 minutes). Set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté sliced mushrooms for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms; stir for 1 minute. Gradually add chicken broth while stirring until smooth; bring to a simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce; season with salt and pepper. Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes.
  6. Serve warm over pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
