- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed

- 1 tablespoon red food coloring
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened (for frosting)
- 4 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture; mix until just combined and then add red food coloring and vinegar.
- Scoop dollops of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers are slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool before frosting with the cream cheese mixture made from softened cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla.
