Ingredients
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a baking dish.
- Whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and thyme; pour half over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the Gruyère cheese on top.
- Add another layer of potatoes and repeat with remaining cream mixture and cheeses.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes; then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
