- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces chicken broth
- 8 ounces whole milk
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Rinse the rice under cold water using a fine mesh sieve to remove excess starch.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the rinsed rice, chicken broth, whole milk, salt, and pepper to the saucepan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Cover the pan with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 18-20 minutes until the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat, stir in the parmesan cheese and parsley. Fluff gently with a fork before serving.
