- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ cup cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper and coat with cornstarch.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry chicken until golden brown (about 5-7 minutes), then set aside.
- Sauté garlic in the same skillet for about 30 seconds. Add honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, and rice vinegar; simmer until slightly thickened (2-3 minutes).
- Return chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve garnished with sesame seeds and green onions over steamed rice.
