- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 jar (24-26 oz) traditional pasta sauce
- 1 box (16 oz) penne pasta
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 3 cups water
- Seasonings: basil, Italian seasoning, parsley
Instructions
- 1. Sauté ground beef with onion and garlic in the Instant Pot until browned.
- 2. Stir in pasta sauce and water along with seasonings.
- 3. Layer penne pasta on top but do not stir.
- 4. Secure the lid and pressure cook on High for 5 minutes.
- 5. Allow natural release for 5-10 minutes based on desired pasta texture.
- 6. Stir in ricotta and Parmesan until melted and combined.
- 7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
