- 1 package (17.3 ounces) frozen puff pastry (2 sheets), thawed
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup diced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 large egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into 1-inch wide strips.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well-mixed.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of filling at one end of each pastry strip, fold over, seal edges tightly, and twist.
- Brush each twist with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
