- 1 cup uncooked white jasmine rice
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce (to taste)
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
Instructions
- Cook rice according to package directions.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef for about 8-10 minutes until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Remove from heat and stir in brown sugar, hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sriracha, grated ginger, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Return skillet to medium heat and add chopped red bell pepper; cook for an additional few minutes until tender-crisp.
- Serve the beef mixture over the cooked rice and garnish with scallions and sesame seeds if desired.
