Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the butter in a 9×9-inch baking dish for about 3-4 minutes in the oven.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until well combined.
- Stir in buttermilk, vanilla extract, and lemon extract until just mixed.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter—do not stir.
- Spoon dollops of lemon pie filling on top of the batter.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Allow cooling slightly before serving warm.
