- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 12 small garlic bread rolls
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and minced garlic. Mix well.
- Form small meatballs (about 1 inch) from the mixture.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs for 6-8 minutes.
- Add marinara sauce to the skillet with meatballs; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice garlic bread rolls in half horizontally.
- In each roll, place mozzarella cheese on the bottom half, followed by a meatball, more marinara sauce, and another slice of mozzarella on top.
- Arrange on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
