- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 6–8 tablespoons cold water
- 4 medium apples, peeled and diced
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar. Cut in the chilled butter until crumbly. Gradually add cold water until dough forms.
- Divide dough into two discs and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the filling by combining diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and flour.
- Roll out one disc of dough and cut circles to fit a muffin tin. Fill with apple mixture.
- Roll out the second disc and place on top; seal edges and brush with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
