- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup buttermilk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup mini chocolate chips
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2–3 tablespoons milk
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a mini donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, combine the egg, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Fill each cavity of the mini donut pan about ¾ full with batter.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cooling on a wire rack.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth; dip cooled donuts into the glaze.
