  • 2 ½ tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 (8 oz) packages softened cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • ⅔ cup sugar
  • ⅔ cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 12 chopped Oreos (for filling)
  • Optional: chocolate ganache made with dark chocolate chips and heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare a springform pan by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Crush 15 Oreos and mix with melted butter; press into the bottom of the pan. Bake for 8–10 minutes.
  3. In a mixer, combine softened cream cheese, eggs, sugar, sour cream, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth. Fold in chopped Oreos.
  4. Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust and bake in a water bath at 325°F for about 75 minutes.
  5. Allow to cool slowly in the oven for one hour before chilling in the fridge for at least four hours or overnight.
