Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 package (17.5 ounces) refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef seasoned with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning until browned. Stir in minced garlic and remove from heat.
- Roll out pizza dough on a floured surface into a circle (12 inches). Spread pizza sauce on one half, then layer with beef mixture and mozzarella cheese.
- Fold the dough over to cover the filling and crimp edges to seal.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush with beaten egg, and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serve with extra marinara sauce.
