Ingredients
- 1 pre-made angel food cake
- 2 pints strawberries
- 2 pints blueberries
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 8 oz containers cream cheese
- 1 cup sugar (total)
- 1/4 tsp almond extract
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- Prepare the syrup by combining sugar, lemon juice, and water in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Cool.
- In a mixing bowl, blend cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gradually mix in heavy cream until soft peaks form, then add almond extract.
- Layer sliced angel food cake at the bottom of a trifle dish, drizzle with syrup, then add cream filling followed by layers of strawberries and blueberries. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
