  • 1 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes (prepared)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  2. Stir in chopped onion, carrots, celery, and garlic; sauté for about 5-7 minutes until softened.
  3. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, green peas, and thyme. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pour the meat mixture into a baking dish and spread mashed potatoes on top.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
