- 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese (preferably mozzarella balls)
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic glaze for drizzling
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Use a skull-shaped cookie cutter to cut fresh mozzarella into skull shapes. Alternatively, leave mozzarella balls whole for simplicity.
- On a large serving platter, arrange the mozzarella skulls surrounded by halved cherry tomatoes.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves in between the cheese and tomatoes for added color and flavor.
- Drizzle olive oil over the salad (if desired) and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Generously drizzle balsamic glaze over the entire salad before serving.
