Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (12-ounce) package lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onions until fully cooked. Add garlic and spices; cook for another minute.
- Transfer the mixture to your slow cooker. Pour in broth and crushed tomatoes; stir to combine.
- Add broken lasagna noodles and push them into the liquid. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
- Once noodles are tender, stir in ricotta cheese until fully incorporated.
- Serve hot in bowls topped with mozzarella cheese and fresh basil.
