Ingredients
- 1 rack baby back ribs
- 1 tbsp ground black or white pepper
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 tbsp paprika (sweet Hungarian)
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp celery salt
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup apple juice or cider
- 4 tbsp cubed butter
Instructions
- Pre-soak wood chips in water for 30 minutes.
- Preheat the smoker to 225°F.
- Dry and trim the ribs, removing silver skin and excess fat.
- Mix rub ingredients; generously coat both sides of the ribs.
- Let the ribs rest while the smoker heats up.
- Smoke the ribs for three hours.
- Wrap ribs in foil with butter, apple juice, cider, and brown sugar; cook for another two hours.
- Baste before serving, then enjoy!
