  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup honey (or maple syrup)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha
  • Optional: green onions and sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the pressed tofu into bite-sized cubes and toss with cornstarch.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat, then fry the tofu until golden brown (8-10 minutes). Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, reduce heat and sauté minced garlic and grated ginger until fragrant.
  4. Add honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, and sesame oil; simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Return tofu to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce; cook for an additional minute.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
