- 1 pre-made pie crust (9-inch)
- 8 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Swiss)
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the pie crust in a pie dish and crimp the edges. Pre-bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
- Cook chopped bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Drain and reserve some grease.
- Sauté spinach in the same skillet for about 2-3 minutes until wilted, then remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, pepper, and nutmeg until smooth.
- Spread cooked bacon and sautéed spinach in the pie crust, followed by shredded cheese. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the filling.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until set and golden on top.
- Allow cooling for about 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve warm or at room temperature.
