- 8 ounces dark chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup Irish stout (like Guinness)
- For the Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a saucepan over low heat; let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until well-combined. Stir in vanilla and melted chocolate mixture.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, salt; mix until just combined. Fold in Irish stout.
- Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before frosting with whipped cream cheese mixture.
