  • 34 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 8 ounces bittersweet chocolate, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat for 2 minutes. Stir in boiling water until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  4. For the mint frosting, beat softened butter until creamy; gradually add powdered sugar and peppermint extract until smooth.
