- 8 large Napa cabbage leaves
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the cabbage by blanching the leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, cooked rice, chopped onion, garlic, spices, and beaten egg. Mix thoroughly.
- Lay one leaf flat and spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the filling at the base; fold sides and roll tightly.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread marinara sauce in a baking dish, place rolls seam-side down, pour remaining sauce over them, then cover with foil.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until cooked through.
