- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ cup tamarind paste
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, season chicken with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add seasoned chicken in a single layer and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove chicken from skillet; set aside.
- In the same skillet, combine tamarind paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and minced ginger. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet; toss in the sauce until evenly coated. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Serve warm garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
