  • 12 oz cream cheese
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg
  • Granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix tart cherries with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, almond extract, and salt.
  3. For the crust and crumb topping, combine flours, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix in cubed butter until crumbly. Press most of this mixture into the bottom of a greased baking pan.

  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
