- 1 pound gnocchi (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the gnocchi in boiling salted water until they float; drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, melt butter and whisk in flour to create a roux. Gradually add milk and cream until thickened.
- Stir in ricotta, mozzarella, and half of the parmesan until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Fold in cooked gnocchi and marinara sauce until combined.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish, top with remaining parmesan, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
