- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- ½ teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup unsulfured molasses
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces white chocolate, chopped
- Sprinkles or crushed nuts for decoration (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla until combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until just combined.
- Scoop dough onto prepared sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers are slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool before dipping half in melted white chocolate and decorating as desired.
