Ingredients
- 4 medium apples (peeled, cored, and diced)
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine diced apples, cranberries, sugar, water, and cinnamon.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender and cranberries burst. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving; compote will thicken as it cools.
