Ingredients
- 12 ounces fresh cranberries
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Cabernet Sauvignon wine
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Rinse cranberries and blueberries under cold water.
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients: cranberries, blueberries, sugar, Cabernet Sauvignon, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat while stirring occasionally until sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer for 15-20 minutes or until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
- Remove from heat; cool completely before serving as the sauce will thicken more upon cooling.
- Transfer to a serving container.
