- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup French fried onions
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
Instructions
- Blanch the green beans in boiling salted water for 3-4 minutes until bright green. Drain and shock in ice water.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, ½ cup cheddar cheese, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper; whisk until smooth.
- Stir blanched green beans into the creamy mixture until well-coated.
- Transfer to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix French fried onions with melted butter and seafood seasoning; sprinkle over the casserole.
- Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
